Feeding The Beast

“Am I a Hypebeast? Maybe?”

“Dress the part.” I’ve always thought this notion of some kind of uniform based on what you do or what your interests are to be a bit presumptuous ; as is the opposite of labeling someone something based on what they’re wearing. A question that popped up a lot when I first started wearing Supreme was “do you skate?” And to be completely honest I don’t; but I did? I was never great and gave it up after a year. As soon as you answer no to this question you could possibly be labeled a poser or a Hypebeast. I’ve asked myself the question am I a Hypebeast? Maybe? But who the hell isn’t these days? The negative connotation of a Hypebeast doesn’t bother me; I like what I like and sometimes other people like the same things… what are you gonna do? Stop liking it cause it’s popular? That will just keep feeding the beast.
